CRAZY OR CLOTH!!! BOTH
So, many of my peers now think that I am crazy (some of them thought that way before now). I have switched to CLOTH diapers. I know, gross! But, it's really not that bad. I'll spare you the details. They really are just as easy to put on as the disposable ones and look 10 times nicer. I don't feel so "white trash" for letting my child run around in a diaper and a t-shirt now that her diapers look more like bloomers than an actual diaper. OK, so here is the story...Poor Brenna got this horrible diaper rash that would not go away. It tended to look worse in the morning and better just before bed time. I could figure out what it was at first. We used every cream known to man, and her butt still looked like I tagged her with a red marker or that she had chicken pocks on her butt and no where else. I gave it some more thought and figured it out...She is allergic to the nighttime diapers that we had her in. I switched brands thinking that would fix the problem, but it did not. SO...I did it, I made the switch. Now Brenna's bum gets the good stuff - fleece. How nice. As for mom, I have to do a few more loads of laundry, but this is easy laundry. Shawn, well...he thinks that I have lost my marbles (maybe it is all of these night shifts that I have been working - sleep deprivation will make you do extreme things). He puts up with me and with the cloth diapers. I just laugh and let him know that he doesn't have to do anything differently - I'll take care of the dirty work. I'll have to post a few cute pictures of B in her new "NuBunz" diapers sometime soon. Love you!!! Christine
